John Gannon, MSW Intern
John Gannon is a Master of Social Work student at Columbia University, currently completing his foundational clinical placement at Conscious Collective. Drawing from over two decades of military and federal service, John brings a distinctive perspective to his therapeutic work with individuals navigating trauma, high-stress careers, and significant life transitions.
John's diverse lived experiences- including his journey as a father- deeply inform his approach to cultivating resilience and compassionate leadership. His clinical training emphasizes trauma-informed care, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, and psychedelic integration, positioning him at the forefront of innovative mental health treatment modalities.
Passionate about advancing emerging therapies, John is dedicated to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health within military, veteran, federal, and first responder communities. He creates safe, heart-centered therapeutic spaces that empower clients to explore healing, embrace growth, and build resilience as they work toward becoming their most authentic selves.
Beyond his professional commitments, John finds renewal through time with family, connection with nature, nonprofit engagement, and mindfulness-based practices that reflect his own ongoing transformative journey.
