Kambo Ceremony

A traditional medicine experience held with intention, preparation, and integration.

Kambo is a powerful traditional medicine used for cleansing, recalibration, and renewal. At Conscious Collective, Kambo is offered in a grounded, respectful, and carefully held setting — emphasizing preparation, consent, and integration every step of the way.

This work is not about pushing limits or seeking intensity. It is about meeting the medicine with reverence and supporting your body, mind, and nervous system throughout the process.

What is Kambo?

Kambo is a traditional medicine derived from the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, originating from Indigenous practices in the Amazon. For generations, it has been used in ceremonial contexts for cleansing, strengthening resilience, and restoring balance within the body.

Kambo works through the body rather than the mind. It is often described as a physical, energetic, and emotional reset, supporting detoxification and recalibration on multiple levels.

At Conscious Collective, Kambo is approached with deep respect for its origins and potency. This is not a recreational or casual experience— it is a medicine that asks for preparation, presence, and integration.

Who Kambo May Support?

Kambo may be supportive for individuals who feel called to deeper physical or energetic clearing and who are prepared to engage with the medicine intentionally.

People often seek Kambo when experiencing:

  • A sense of stagnation or heaviness in the body or energy

  • Desire for physical cleansing or immune support

  • Emotional or energetic buildup that feels difficult to release

  • A call for renewal, clarity, or recalibration

  • Interest in traditional plant and animal medicines held with integrity

Kambo is not appropriate for everyone, and participation is never assumed. A thorough screening process is required to ensure safety and alignment.

What to Expect in a Kambo Ceremony

Kambo ceremonies at Conscious Collective are intentionally paced, carefully facilitated, and grounded in safety and consent.

Preparation and Screening

Before participating, you will complete a detailed intake and screening process. This helps ensure that Kambo is appropriate for you and allows the experience to be held responsibly.

Preparation guidelines are provided in advance so your body is supported before the ceremony begins.

The Ceremony Experience

Kambo is administered through small, superficial points on the skin. Once applied, the medicine activates quickly, creating an intense but time-limited physical response.

During the ceremony, you may experience:

  • Strong physical sensations

  • Emotional release

  • Purging (vomiting or other forms of release)

  • Shifts in awareness or clarity

You are supported throughout the process, with close attention to pacing, hydration, and nervous system regulation.

Holding and Support

The space is held with care, presence, and respect. You are never rushed, pushed, or forced to endure more than your body can manage. Your experience is honored as unique.

Integration and Aftercare

The Kambo ceremony does not end when the physical effects subside. Integration is a vital part of the process.

Aftercare guidance is provided to support:

  • Rest and recovery

  • Emotional processing

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Meaning-making and reflection

For those already engaged in somatic therapy, spiritual coaching, or integration work, Kambo can be woven thoughtfully into an ongoing healing process.

Our Approach to Kambo

At Conscious Collective, Kambo is offered with:

  • Respect for Indigenous traditions

  • Emphasis on informed consent and screening

  • Trauma-informed, nervous system–aware facilitation

  • Integration-focused support rather than peak experience seeking

This work is held as medicine, not an intervention or shortcut. We prioritize safety, discernment, and care above all else.
