Ritika Gupta, MFT Intern

Individual | Family | Couples

If you’re feeling pulled in different directions- between who you’ve been, who you’re expected to be, and who you’re becoming- you’re not alone. I offer a gentle, thoughtful space where we can slow down, listen inward, and begin to understand the many parts of you with curiosity and care.

I believe healing happens when every part of you has a seat at the table and is met without judgment.

My Approach

I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern currently completing my Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy at Syracuse University. I also hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from India and bring nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families.

My approach is integrative and relational. I draw from CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, person-centered therapy, family systems, ACT, Gestalt therapy, along with parts-work, somatic therapy, and psychodrama. Together, we explore emotional patterns, relational dynamics, and the lived experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and to each other.

Who I Work With

I work with:

  • Adults navigating anxiety, depression, or trauma

  • Couples from diverse, intercultural, and multicultural backgrounds

  • Partners navigating differences in identity, values, family expectations, or communication styles

  • Families working through relational stress or life transitions

I have a particular passion for supporting diverse couples who may be balancing multiple cultural identities, belief systems, or social expectations within their relationship. As someone with a culturally diverse background, I understand how complex it can feel to hold love, loyalty, and identity across different worlds.

What Sessions With Me Feel Like

Therapy with me is spacious, intentional, and grounded. I value creating room to breathe, slow down, and establish emotional safety before moving into deeper work. Sessions include moments of stillness, reflection, and gentle curiosity so that all parts of you- and your relationship- feel supported.

I aim to help individuals and couples feel steady enough to explore difficult emotions, patterns, and conversations in a way that feels respectful and affirming.
